The Service

The Service

We are a mentoring service dedicated to supporting Black Minority Ethnic (BME) communities. Our mentors operate remotely, allowing us to provide services globally to English-speaking individuals through modern technology.

Black Lives Specialist Mentoring Service

Black Lives Specialist Mentoring Service

This specialist service emerged in response to the Black Lives Matter movement, particularly following the tragic murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020. Recognizing the urgent need for positive change, we believe that education is a crucial pathway forward.

The BME community worldwide has expressed frustration and anger over the persistent lack of action to prevent such incidents. Many individuals feel unable to channel their emotions productively. Our service aims to empower young people, helping them feel valued and capable of responding positively to the institutional racism embedded in Western society.

Effective communication with BME groups, facilitated by relatable mentors, is essential for fostering positive change. Black Lives Mentored is managed by experienced professionals who provide one-on-one mentoring designed to enable BME individuals to contribute meaningfully to society.

Research indicates that mentorship can lead to better employment opportunities and promote social mobility for these groups. Our unique approach not only offers mentorship but also monitors mental health, providing a supportive role model with whom clients can identify.

Our aims and objectives

To provide BME people with the best start in life that will support their mental wellbeing.

We acknowledge data protection legislation and client confidentiality when mentoring individuals to develop empowerment, self-confidence, self-esteem and build positive relationships in order to best communicate their needs.
